Now that we’re back from vacation, the countdown is on for my pillow sale, and that means I need to sew like crazy. We got back late last night, and with the time change it felt even later, so the kids slept in and had a very lazy morning. But not me! My goal is to have twenty pillows for the Art in the Garden sale, so I need to get good and fast at sewing. But there are a lot of steps involved. After the many steps involved in just getting the design onto the pillows (silk-screen, hand painting, or Spoonflower), next I need to make the pillow piping, sew on the piping, sew in the zipper, and then sew the whole thing together. It takes about an hour for me to sew a pillow. That’s not that great, but I’m getting better all the time, and today, amazingly, I was able to make three in a row. Woo hoo! Hopefully I can do it again tomorrow. We’ll see…
