Went to a Lego Event at the EMP

Miles in Legos

Miles and his buddies are all Lego fanatics, so when a friend of ours suggested we go to the opening night party of the ‘Brick’ event held at the EMP (Experience Music Project) Museum at Seattle Center, I bought tickets right away.  I had no idea what to expect,  but I knew that MIles and his friends without a Lego party would love a night out together, but add the Legos and that would pure heaven.

When we got there, it was pretty hard for the boys to not just sit down in front of the huge tables full of Legos and not just play Legos all night.  But after doing that for a while we wondered around and checked out the displays, demonstrations, video games, etc.  Miles and I loved the stop-motion animation workshop where after 5 minutes of filming we created a couple seconds of video (like this), and then he totally dominated in the Lego battering ram contest.

Legos are the most brilliant toy ever, and I wonder when Miles will ever get sick of them.  Right now if you ask him what he wants to be when he grows up he’ll say “a Lego engineer”.  I think that would be an amazing job for him…
