Until now, I never...
Went to the Outlets North of Seattle

I love to shop.  Well, not really shop, but I love going to cute little boutiquey stores in cute little neighborhoods, and admire all the stuff.  I’m not much of a buyer, but I still like to go “shopping”.  What I hate though, is shopping at big ugly stores like Target, Old Navy, or, worst of all WalMart.  But what I hate most of all is the ‘factory outlet’ stores.  Do we really need factory outlets to exist on this planet?  Please, don’t get me wrong, I’m really not a hater.  Far from it.  It’s just that when I walk into one these types of places I can’t help but think that they are filled with off-gassing products made in China that will end up in a land-fill in a matter of months, displayed under blinding neon lights, without an ounce of charm or aesthetics to be found.

So why did I go to the outlets then?  Because I had to go to Marysville to drop of Miles at my brother-in-law’s office, which is right next to the outlets.  And because I am so sick of spending a fortune on sneakers for Miles that he wears out almost as soon as he starts wearing them.  So after we dropped off Miles, Nadine and I headed over to to the Nike outlet to buy Miles some sneakers (for only $25), and to the Gap outlet to buy some jeans for Nadine.  We had to walk from one end of the complex to the other to do this, but as soon as we were done we high-tailed it out of there. I’m never going back.
